In August 2007, Western New York’s top soccer clubs, the Rochester Junior Rhinos, Syracuse Football Club and Buffalo United Soccer Club joined together to form the Empire United Soccer Academy. 

There are a lot of really great things happening every day with our players, coaches, and teams. Empire needs your help in sharing these great accomplishments with the rest of the Empire family and those who are following us. U.S. Soccer Board of Directors formally approved Women’s Professional Soccer’s request for waivers today, clearing the way for the league to play its fourth season in 2012 as the only division one pro women’s soccer league in the country.

FRISCO, Texas (Nov. 30, 2011) – The US Youth Soccer National League will begin for boys and girls teams in the Under-15, Under-16, Under-17 and, new this year, Under-18 age groups the first two weekends in December. First up in 2011-2012, the National League Girls teams will open the fifth season of league play December 1-4 in Atlanta.
 

Syracuse-bound forward Stefanos Stamoulacatos (17 goals) and forward Tyler Forbes (four) have moved up to the under-17/18s after leading the under-15/16s to the division crown last year. Stamoulacatos scored hat tricks against DC United and the New England Revolution. Keeper Alexander Bono, also up from the under-15/16s, was voted the Academy Goalie of the Year for 2010-2011, said coach Paul Valenti.
