WHO:
Players in good standing with Empire USA are eligible to participate.  Select team rosters are comprised of players from the Buffalo, Rochester and Syracuse/Cortland academies.  
 
TRYOUTS:
Open tryouts were held on weekends in December and early January.

SELECTION:
Players are selected by EMPIRE USA team coaches with input from the Academy’s Directors of Coaching.  If players were not available for tryouts, they were considered through nominations by their coaches and the Academy’s Directors.  All players tried out at their age appropriate level.

NOTIFICATION:
Players chosen to participate on their age group’s EMPIRE USA select teams will have names posted on theClub web site (www.empireunitedsa.org) by January 20, 2010.   

ACCEPTANCE:                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           Parents will need to send an email to:  empireunitedsa@aol.com by January 27, 2010 in order to accept the roster spot for their child.  If families have not confirmed their acceptance, coaches will invite other players that were considered.

TEAM LEVELS:

The Arlington tournament has three competition levels.

• Premier – Level 1
• Elite – Level 2
• Classic – Level 3

Premier and Elite team player assignments considered putting teams together, with talent and ability dispersed throughout both rosters.

PRACTICE:

Although some families will be away during February Break, we plan to conduct training session for each age group at Brighton Sports Zone in Rochester.  A team training session schedule will be forthcoming.  

COST AND ACCOMODATIONS:

There will be a charge of $75 per player to cover the cost of tournament registration and coaches travel.  All participating players and families will be required to stay at the Holiday Inn Arlington.  The club has a block of rooms available to accommodate our members.  Credit card numbers for the rooms will be required.

Checks ($75 per player) must be made out to Empire United SA and received before the February 7, 2010.  Also include Credit Card information.
