BSC Passback Program

Description

Our "bins" are located at various venues throughout the greater Buffalo area.  The "bins" are clearly marked with weekly pick-ups.

Gear Type

Buffalo Soccer Club will have children between the ages of five (5) and sixteen (16) participating in various soccer events throughout the year.  Many of these children are new to the game of soccer and will struggle to come up with the means to buy soccer items essential to safe participation.  There are thousands of kids playing soccer in the surrounding commuity who have soccer items sitting in their closets that someone else could use.  Buffalo Soccer Club will collect these items, clean them up, and distribute them to those who need them most.  Below is a list of the items we are looking for...

  • shin guards
  • indoor shoes

    TIp #1

Please do as much cleaning and prep work on the items as you can.  Washed clothing, polished boots with new laces, etc. goes a long way to making it easier on our end...thanks again for your generosity!

Tax Deduction Information

Used Clothing

  • Used clothing and other personal items are usually worth far less than the price you paid for them. Valuation of items of clothing does not lend itself to fixed formulas or methods.
  • The price that buyers of used items actually pay in used clothing stores, such as consignment or thrift shops, is an indication of the value.
  • You cannot take a deduction for clothing donated after August 17, 2006, unless it is in good used condition or better. An item of clothing that is not in good used condition or better for which you take a deduction of more than $500 requires a qualified appraisal. See Deduction over $500 for certain clothing or household items, later.
  • See IRS website for details!
